Freightquip will once again be an exhibitor at AusRAIL PLUS 2023, which will take place from Monday 13 to Thursday 16 November at the ICC Sydney. Hosted by the Australasian Railway Association (ARA), AusRAIL PLUS is an opportunity for industry specialists to network and discuss the greatest challenges and opportunities currently facing the rail industry and various industries that rely on rail.

This year’s conference program includes over 100 speakers, 300 exhibitors, and six networking events. With attendees ranging from industry giants to small-scale operators, and encompassing a diverse array of professionals including engineers, designers, and policy makers, this event is a melting pot of ideas and expertise. Key industry players will be exhibiting at the event, showcasing the latest innovations, technologies, and solutions. It is the perfect arena for forming new partnerships, strengthening existing relationships, and engaging in meaningful conversations that could pave the way for collaborative projects and initiatives.

What to expect for 2023

This year, delegates will be discussing hot topics in Australasian rail such as:

  • what is happening within the rail industry at a national scale
  • whether high speed rail will become a reality in Australia
  • the UK/AUS Free Trade Agreement and the impacts on rail exports and imports
  • the Australian Government’s transport and infrastructure net zero roadmap.


The program will also feature not to be missed keynotes and panel discussions, including a look at the industry as a whole, chaired by Caroline Wilkie, chief executive officer, Australasian Railway Association, and a focus on the ARTC agenda by Wayne Johnson, acting chief executive officer, ARTC.
