Trestles
Freightquip supplies Trestles manufactured by Novatech, designed for short-sea RoRo applications to secure semi-trailers to the ship’s deck, safely and efficiently. These static platforms provide a safe, structured support base for containerised cargo during loading, unloading, or interim staging.
Technical Overview:
Novatech Trestles are designed to withstand the harshest ocean conditions in the world, including Bass Strait and Cook Strait. Their design eliminates the need for additional lashing points on the front of the semi-trailer, as the Trestle locks on to the King Pin of the semi-trailer.
LOT Trestles require manual lashing, whilst SAT and UNI Trestles have integral, hydraulically operated twistlocks that enable the trestle to mechanically lock into the apertures on deck of the ship without the need for manual lashing.
