Translifters
Freightquip is the exclusive supplier of Liftec Translifters, a next-generation solution for horizontal transportation of containers, structures, steel coils, slag pots and any other heavy items in RoRo terminals, steel plants, and heavy industrial fabricators and manufacturers. Translifters are designed to lift and transport static cassettes, enabling fast, efficient movement of containers, steel or paper coils, scrap metal, slag pots and other oversized loads—with fewer powered units and reduced handling costs. The Cassettes can be staged at the loading and unloading points, eliminating waiting time of powered vehicles and operators.
Technical Overview:
Liftec Translifters feature hydraulic lifting suspension and steering bogies and are available in configurations supporting payloads from 60 to 260 tonnes. They can be equipped with up to 6 bogies (12 axles) which automatically steer from the articulation angle. The operator of the Terminal Tractor can override the steering, to manually crab-steer the Translifter in tight spaces or around sharp turns, without doing damage to the ground surface. The system supports 24/7 continuous-duty cycles and is compatible with all makes and models of terminal tractor. Options include reverse cameras, self-steering technology, weighing systems, and tipping functionality for bulk material handling.
