Freightquip supplies fixed PCA Units manufactured by SAS (Smart Airport Systems), designed to deliver temperature-regulated air to parked aircraft. These systems replace the use of onboard Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), helping reduce fuel burn, emissions, and noise at the gate. Engineered for wide-body and narrow-body aircraft, SAS PCA units are built for robust, all-weather performance. They are compatible with existing HVAC infrastructure and include options for remote diagnostics, variable airflow control, and smart energy monitoring to reduce operational costs and increase system uptime.

Technical Overview:

SAS PCA systems deliver airflow rates up to 8 kg/s and are configurable for operation in ambient conditions from –5°C to +55°C. Units are available in 50Hz or 60Hz versions to meet local electrical requirements and can be wall- or ground-mounted. Integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) allows for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and control. Constructed with corrosion-resistant materials, the units are built for long life in demanding airside environments.
