Freightquip and Smartquip at AusRAIL PLUS 2025

Freightquip exhibited at AusRAIL PLUS 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25 to 28 November, joining more than 7,000 rail professionals at the largest combined rail conference and exhibition in the southern hemisphere.

The stand brought together a range of live equipment demonstrations across depot safety and maintenance technology, including a Depot Protection and Derailer System, a Mobile Sand Silo, and supporting product displays. The demos attracted consistent interest from depot managers, maintenance engineers, and rail operators throughout the event, with many visitors keen to discuss how these solutions apply to their own facilities.

What made AusRAIL PLUS 2025 especially significant for Freightquip was the attendance of OEM partners from around the world. Representatives from FirstClass Safety and Control, Emanuel, Newtek, Abacus Lighting, and Visy joined the Freightquip team on the stand, giving visitors direct access to the people behind the products and reinforcing the depth of Freightquip’s international supply network.

The event also marked the soft launch of Smartquip, Freightquip’s new technology subsidiary. With Abacus Lighting and Visy both present on the stand, AusRAIL PLUS provided the right platform to introduce the Smartquip brand to the rail and industrial sectors for the first time, generating early interest in its lighting, OCR, and fleet technology portfolio.
