Military
The TLD Military product range of ACU’s, LCU’s and Combo units are the preferred equipment for a large number of defence forces around the world.
MBL-30
Military Bomb Loader
MBL-30 is designed to handle a variety of loads, such as weapons, ammunition, rockets, pylons, or fuel tanks, during military aircraft loading operations. It is a self-propelled vehicle with a low, heavy-duty frame supported by six small, high capacity wheels. It offers an “all wheel steering system”, with adjustable wheelbase, and front track. Thanks to its unique individual steering control system, it can adjust wheelbase and front track in fully loaded condition. The rear axle can be adjusted for higher ground clearance, and feature a “stability” alerting system.
It features two main functional components: the lifting mechanism with a lift boom which can be orientated, and a manipulating head. The manipulating head is located at the upper end of the lift boom, and is capable of limited but accurate lateral and longitudinal motions, as well as tilting and yawing motions. MBL-30 is air transportable and self loadable into the C130, C160, A400M, CASA 235 military aircrafts and most of other “high wings” military type aircrafts. The rugged design of the MBL-30 is perfectly adapted to the worst military field conditions and rapid reaction deployment.
LCU-050
Liquid Cooling Unit
The LCU-050 is a self-contained, trailer mounted, liquid cooling unit. The LCU-050 supplies chilled PAO, EGW, or other cooling liquid to the aircraft liquid loop to remove up to 50 kW of heat from the onboard avionics.
The LCU-050 is designed with high reliability, industrial grade components to meet the demands of military service. The LCU-050’s color touchscreen allows for easy, intuitive controls and the advanced control system allows the operator to fine-tune delivery temperature and pressure or ‘set it and forget it’ with the system managing cooling operations. The LCU-050 is qualified to a wide range of military requirements and standards, including EMI, air transport, mobility, and environmental requirements.
The LCU-050 is available as a self-powered diesel variant (with optional shore power) or a pure electric variant for applications where diesel power is not required. In all variants the LCU-050 is designed for ease of maintenance, with easy access to major components and troubleshooting support.
ACU-401
High Pressure Air Conditioning Unit
The ACU-401 Series is a self-contained, trailer mounted, Air Conditioning and Ventilating unit designed to satisfy the requirements of many military aircraft varying from F16, F-18 and Su-30 to Global Hawk as well as other applications requiring pre-conditioned air at approximately 3 to 5 psig. The ACU-401 can be powered by either its own diesel engine generator set or can be connectedto utilitypower.
A vertical screw compressor that features a sliding valve for step-less linear capacity control provides the cooling for the ACU-401. The ACU-401 Series has many features providing extreme flexibility in operation and satisfying aircraft requirements throughout a wide range of ambient extremes. The ACU-401 is a high performance machine and the following specifications outline its capabilities
ACU-804-MIL
High Ambient Air Conditioning Unit
The ACU-804-MIL Air Conditioning Unit is an extension of the standard ACU-804 product line. The ACU-804-MIL is a self-contained, fully portable air conditioning unit suitable for single or dual connection aircraft operating in high ambient temperature environments. The ACU-804-MIL has been specially designed to deliver 10°C or cooler air in a 50°C ambient condition. This is sufficient to achieve and maintain comfortable cabin temperatures on any narrow or medium bodied aircraft in any climate.
The simple, but rugged design, is targeted towards ease of maintenance and reliability to support operations in high ambient conditions. The TLD Direct Drive Technology minimizes components and enhances reliability and increases efficiency by driving the compressor and blower directly from the diesel engine. The large and efficient condenser fan is powered by a simple hydraulic system to provide years of reliable operation. The ACU-804-MIL utilizes a specially designed blower optimized for use on non-fighter military aircraft.
The ACU-804-MIL is crafted using commonly available commercial, off-the-shelf components that lesson the logistics effort required to field and support this product.
ACE-814 Series
Liquid Cooling Supply Carts
The ACE-814 Series (ACE-814-924S and ACE-814-994S) are compact, self-contained, trailer-mounted, diesel engine driven Liquid Coolant Supply (LCS) Carts designed to supply chilled EGW coolant to the aircraft liquid coolant loop for the purpose of removing the electrical heat loads from the avionics liquid cooling subsystem of surveillance aircraft. Using R-134a refrigerant, the ACE-814 is environmentally safe causing no damage to the atmospheric ozone. The units employ a liquid to liquid refrigeration system.
The mobile cart is designed to service the E-3 AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System), E-737 AEWC (Airborne Electronic Warning & Control), the E-6A TACAMO, and other similarly equipped aircraft. The cart is compact and lightweight, easily maneuvered around aircraft and other GSE, and permits economical air deployment as it is C-130 transportable. An illuminated control panel is provided for night time operation.
Features:
No pump down cycle required
Large self-retracting awning doors for ease of maintenance
Simplified electrical system
GF 30 M
Trailer Mounted Diesel Air Conditioning
The GF30M is a mobile diesel air conditioning unit designed to cool or, when equipped, heat an aircraft to obtain the adequate temperature in the cabin and in the Forward and Aft forced air systems during preflight operations, boarding and maintenance. It has sufficient cooling power for aircraft type E-3 AWACS and A330 MRTT and meets the needs and requirements of military aircraft in most climates. It can be specifically configured for continental/tropical or desert conditions. The GF30M is built with top of the line material, resulting in extremely low maintenance requirements during its lifetime. The cooling circuit does not need to be opened and maintained before 100,000 hours of operation. The GF30M utilizes the R134a refrigerant which has zero ozone depletion potential.
CF 33
Mobile ACU for Military Fighter Aircraft
The CF33 model is a compact, trailer mounted, Air Conditioning unit designed to satisfy the requirements of many military aircraft varying from Lockeed Martin F16 to Dassault Rafale and Dassault Mirage 2000 in a large range of external conditions. Depending on the cooling or heating mode selection, the air outlet temperature will be maintained at 10°C or 25°C in external conditions between -30°C and +55°C.
The unit is also designed to maintain the air outlet moisture below 3g water/dry air kg. The CF33 is powered by utility power. The CF33 is composed with top of the line material, resulting in an extremely low maintenance during its lifetime. This unit utilizes the R134a refrigerant which creates no damage to the atmospheric ozone. The reduced height and the compactness of the unit ensures a good maneuverability and visibility in congested area.
