2001

A Vision Takes Flight

Freightquip was founded in 2001 with a clear purpose: to lift the standard of freight handling equipment and provide industries with practical, long-lasting solutions. From the start, our focus was on delivering dependable, well-engineered products that could withstand the demands of day-to-day operations.

2001- 2018

Building a Reputation in Aviation

In the early 2000s, we focused on consolidating our technical capability and sector understanding. This included navigating the stringent compliance requirements for rail certification in Australia, securing early sales with major customers, and laying the groundwork for long-term industry trust.

We built our reputation through reliable product support and close collaboration with OEMs by refining equipment specifications to suit local operational demands. At the same time, we worked to grow the presence of the brands we represented, helping transition them from new market entrants to recognised leaders across our region.

2019- 2020

A Changing Landscape

The onset of COVID-19 marked a turning point. With global aviation facing an extended pause, the industry slowed—planes grounded, terminals quiet. While some retreated, we took a longer view. This was not just a moment to survive, but a chance to evolve.

2020–2022

From Aviation Specialists to Industry-Wide Experts

Freight never stopped moving. Rail and port sectors were facing increased demand as global logistics adapted. We redirected our focus, applying our aviation experience to new sectors that needed the same level of reliability and support.

Our move into port and rail logistics was not a stopgap. It was a deliberate strategy—to build capability in adjacent markets where equipment quality, serviceability, and support were just as critical.

2023–Now

Built for a Broader Future

Today, Freightquip operates across three core sectors—Aviation, Rail, and Ports & Terminals. We continue to focus on practical, high-performance equipment backed by industry understanding and responsive local support.

Freightquip is no longer defined by a single sector. Our work now spans the full freight handling landscape.

From airside to trackside to dockside, we supply robust equipment and support that help keep freight moving efficiently and safely.

Our Commitment

next level technology

Built to Industry Standards

All equipment is aligned with ICAO, IATA, and Australian regulatory requirements, and selected for its durability, safety, and integration capability.

From electric GPUs to rail lifting systems and container handling trailers, we supply technology that is tested, traceable, and ready for operational use.

end to end support

End-to-End Lifecycle Support

We support clients across the full lifecycle of their equipment—starting with consultation and commissioning, and continuing through to preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and parts support.

With local servicing teams and OEM-trained technicians, we help keep equipment running with minimal disruption.

sustainable innovation

Supporting Sustainable Operations

Our product range includes electric ground support equipment, low-emission port solutions, and energy-efficient rail systems.

These options support customers in meeting ESG targets and reducing environmental impact—without compromising on performance or reliability.

Vision

To shape the future of freight movement in Australia and New Zealand by delivering the equipment, expertise, and long-term support that keep supply chains running—safely, efficiently, and sustainably across air, rail, and port networks.

We see a future where freight operators rely not just on technology, but on trusted partners who understand the demands of local conditions and global logistics.

Mission

To bridge the gap between global equipment innovation and local freight realities—by delivering systems that not only meet spec, but solve problems.
We help operators move faster, cleaner, and safer—through equipment that is technically matched, locally supported, and ready for the changing demands of freight and infrastructure across Oceania.
